07 NCAC 03B .0103          CONDUCT IN THE MUSEUM

(a)  Visitors to the Museum of Art galleries and other areas open to the public are required to maintain discrete and orderly conduct. Unruly or destructive individuals or groups may be expelled from the premises by the museum guard force. Disorderly behavior by school and other groups may be reported to appropriate authorities, and requests for readmission by groups that have been disorderly shall be at the discretion of the museum.

(b)  Visitors are prohibited from handling works of art or their frames or other supports; visually impaired visitors may arrange for special tours during which objects designated by the museum may be touched under conditions defined by the museum.

(c)  Visitors are prohibited from smoking in the public galleries.
